Coronavirus Update

It is with sadness that the decision has been taken, in consultation with the Standing Committee of the Parochial Church Council, that Public Worship within this Parish should be suspended with immediate effect. Although the Government are permitting Public Worship during this Lockdown in recognition of our efforts to make our churches Covid-secure, we believe suspending Public Worship is the right and responsible thing to do whilst the pandemic is escalating once again.

For the next few weeks our Parish Eucharist will be available online only, joinable below or via our Facebook page.

St John’s will remain open for Private Prayer every day between 9.00am and 5.00pm.

Please be assured of our prayers for you, your loved ones, and all who live and work in the Parish, and for all who are infected or affected by Coronavirus.

as of 9.00am 6 January 2021

To promote a safe culture in all 3 of our churches, we have safeguarding practices in place. We promote the welfare of children, young people and adults and work towards preventing abuse from occurring, protecting those at risk and respond well to those who have been abused. We will offer support to those who may be at risk to others whilst taking steps to reduce such risks.

To find out more about our safeguarding policy and to find contact details of our Parish Safeguarding Officer as well as local authorities, please visit our Safeguarding page.

Pray For Brexit

A prayer for our community, country, and leaders in these uncertain times:

God of reconciling hope; as you guided your people in the past, guide us through the turmoil of the present time and bring us to that place of flourishing where our unity can be restored, the common good served, and all shall be made well. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.
