Press Release | 20th April 2021

With campaigning under way for the forthcoming County Council Elections, it has come to our attention of that a photograph of the church building is being used in a party-political campaign leaflet. No permission was sought or given for this.

While the Church is very glad to be recognised as a Boxmoor landmark, we would respectfully point out that St John’s Church must remain strictly apolitical and its image and personnel must not be used in a political context.  St John’s Church is there for everyone, whatever their political persuasion.  All are welcome!

We promote the welfare of children, young people and adults and work towards preventing abuse from occurring, protecting those at risk and respond well to those who have been abused. We will offer support to those who may be at risk to others whilst taking steps to reduce such risks.

Pray For Brexit

A prayer for our community, country, and leaders in these uncertain times:

God of reconciling hope; as you guided your people in the past, guide us through the turmoil of the present time and bring us to that place of flourishing where our unity can be restored, the common good served, and all shall be made well. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.
